Hungarian Parliament building

The Hungarian Parliament Building is the most amazing building I have ever seen. It left me speechless as I took this photo while the sun was starting to set over Budapest. I am not sure how to explain this photo since every inch of this beautiful building deserves a heavy detailed description. The facade, the dome, and everything surrounding the building are simply mind blowing. Let’s not forget about its historic importance.  Without making this long and boring, let me just mention the building was inaugurated on the 1000th anniversary on the country in 1896.   It took another eight years to be fully completed. Unfortunately the architect Imre Steindl went blind before the building was finished in 1904. During the communist regime, a red star was placed on the top of the dome, but was removed in 1990. On the 23rd of October, 1989, Matras Szuros (provisional President of the Republic) declared the Hungarian Republic from a balcony of the Parliament building.
